The inner life of people.
the inner life of organizations.

Psychotherapy. Organizational consulting. What happens in the body. What happens between people. What happens inside institutions when the pressure of the outside world lands inside. Held together in one practice, by one person, with clinical depth and twenty years of thinking at the edges of all of it.

I am Dr. Komal Bhasin, psychotherapist, organizational consultant, and public thinker based in Toronto. For over twenty years I have worked at the intersection of the inner life of people and the inner life of organizations, bringing clinical depth, intersectional perspective, and a rare breadth of training to the most complex human and institutional challenges.

I write about these ideas publicly on Substack. NS is my newsletter on culture, nervous system science, relationships and what makes us human.

The work I do

Advisory
Services

For organizations navigating layered dynamics, rupture, conflict, and change that isn’t sticking. Trauma-informed, psychologically-grounded, and built for complexity that traditional consulting hasn’t been able to fix.

Talks and workshops

For teams and organizations committed to inclusion, anti-oppressive practice, decolonization, and psychological safety. Build workplaces that are genuinely connective rather than quietly fragmenting.

Leadership coaching

For leaders navigating the complexity of a world that demands a lot and forgives little. This is a judgement-free, safe space where you’re allowed to be imperfect, uncertain, and still learning and growing.

Psychotherapy

For people who carry a quiet ache. On the outside accomplished, reliable, holding it all together – on the inside stuck, disconnected, missing something. Trauma-informed, somatic, and culturally grounded. You don’t have to be perfect here.

About

Dr. Komal Bhasin

MSW, MHSc, DocSocSci

I've spent my career at the intersection of therapy rooms and boardrooms - with individuals and institutions, with what people carry privately and what organizations struggle to name publicly. The through line is always the same: what's happening on the inside shows up on the outside, and real change requires working at both levels.

The meaning of Insayva

Insayva has special meaning that comes from my roots in the East.

who I've worked with

I work with public and private sector organizations, nonprofits, and mission-driven institutions across sectors. I work with organizations at all stages: building capacity, navigating change, working through conflict and rupture, or simply investing in the health of their people and culture.
